Polytunnel Covers

Clear plastic polytunnel covers are made from high-quality 150mu (600 gauge) polythene which is tough and long-lasting.

Polytunnel covers are always a major aspect of any farmers or green fingered gardener’s horticultural range. Polytunnel cover provides a safe and secure environment for fruit, vegetables and plants to thrive in and grow into the mature plants needed for industry, home gardens or for sustainability reasons. Specifications of tunnel covers can vary depending on what will be grown inside, they often vary in life expectancy and are considered waste when they begin to deteriorate. Our tunnel covers however are made by professionals, they have been developed across two decades to help elevate expectations and deliver proven results on a consistent basis. Our tunnel covers are made thinner to extend the area you can cover (and at 150mu they remain sturdy yet can cover 20% more of an area than 180mu), they are built for endurance as some existing customers have 13yr old covers that are still going! All of the polythene is created using wind or solar generated energy and all film is made from a virgin polymer which is highly sought after by polythene recycling companies, potentially earning you money once your use of the tunnel cover has come to an end.

We can cut polytunnel covers at pretty much any length to suit your individual requirements but, please remember the following:

Our covers are priced per metre and there is a cutting fee for covers under 20m in length. A £10 charge will be automatically added to your order for any cover that is less than 20m.

Our Sun Master polytunnel covers come with a 5 year guarantee against UV degradation and manufactuing fault. Since Sun Master covers are designed to be used extensively on the continent it is likely your cover will last many years past this period. However the guarantee does not cover general accidental damage (including bird or cat damage) or damage caused by adverse weather conditions. Any guarantee is invalidated if the cover is not used in conjunction with our anti-hot spot tape or if the cover is not erected correctly.

To determine the size requirements for your new polytunnel cover, please use the diagram below as guidance.

First of all to determine the width of the cover, you need Measurement A which is obtained by measuring from the ground up over the hoop to the ground the other side, and then adding 3ft (1m) both sides for digging in.

Width of cover = Measurement A + 6ft (2m approx.)

To determine the length of your tunnel you need Measurement B, plus Measurement C for each end, plus 3ft (1m) each end for digging in.

Length of cover = Measurement B + (2 x C) + 6ft (2m approx.)

These formulas will provide you with the correct size cover. Please do not risk opting for a smaller cover if your equation falls between two sheet sizes - there is nothing worse than getting your cover on, only to find it is too small. Since we cut these to size, we cannot accept returns on this product. If you are in any doubt concerning the size of your replacement cover, please do not hesitate to contact us.
