UVI Repair Tape | Polytunnel Repair Tape
Tears in your poly tunnel? Use this tape to patch up your polythene with a near permanent fix. Provides UVI protection against sun exposure.
Polypropylene UVI repair tape is an affordable alternative to solvent and hot melt tapes. It contains a water-based adhesive that is both environmentally friendly and has superb Ultra Violet (UV) protection qualities. This tape has been designed to effectively repair any split or tear in your cover. Being made of polythene means it's flexible and moves with your cover. It has an extra strong adhesive which really sticks to the cover, as long as it is dry. Available up to a 150mm wide tape which if you have a jagged tear will usually straddle both sides of the tear without having to use cross tapes to hold it together.
Handy Tip: Make sure your cover is completely dry and free from dust or algae. Get somebody to hold a board on the inside of the sheet as you apply pressure to the tape on the outside of the polythene cover (we recommend rolling the tape onto the cover with a wallpaper edge roller). Swap places and repeat, applying tape to the inside of the cover to complete a near-permanent repair on either side
