Pallet wrap (blown stretch film) is a popular and reliable material for wrapping pallets and helping to secure the contents. This is because the process of creating blown stretch film results in a very strong, tough to puncture and resilient to tearing end product.
"Blown" stretch films require a little more muscle to stretch than "cast" stretch films, but the tension created as a result is worth the effort. It leads to both a securer load and since the film will attempt to ‘shrink’ back to its pre-stretched state, the tension will be sustained.
The pallet wrap films in this category have all been wound onto standard cardboard cores, which are marginally longer than the width of the film. They protrude by about 15mm on each side and can be dispensed manually or by the aid of a dispenser.

Hold the core and apply the film by walking around the pallet and letting the film unwind, applying tension around the edges to create a tighter fit. Operators should be beware of friction burn, particularly when applied at speed.
Secondly, use a pallet wrap dispenser. These tools are designed to improve workflow, increase productivity and decrease operator fatigue (whilst eliminating finger burn!).
