Pallet Wrap - Plastic Core
Clear stretch film wound on extended plastic cores. Recommended for use in damp environments and industrial settings.
Plastic cores boast favourable characteristics which can make them both practical and easier to use, especially in fast-paced pallet wrapping environments.
These cores extend past the width of the film by about 100mm on each side, allowing the protruding parts of the core to be used as handles. The plastic is smooth and comfortable to hold, increasing operator safety and efficiency. They are black so easier to identify and reduce the need for ancillary equipment because the user has a direct hold of the roll - there is a good ‘feel’ of the process, allowing for appropriate and consistent tension to be accurately applied. Also, because the hands are on the outside of the core as opposed to the fingers being inserted within the core, friction burn is minimalised.
- The plastic core is produced from recycled material.
- The plastic core is 100% recyclable.
- Easy to use.
- Less chance of friction burn.
Our blown stretch film on extended cores is a highly popular and respected option for wrapping pallets and their contents securely and efficiently. The process in which this blown stretch film is made results in it being very strong, tough to puncture and resilient to tearing; making it a perfect choice for securing and protecting pallets of product. Our pallet wrap requires a little more muscle to stretch than cast films, however, the resulting tension created is well worth the effort as it is the tension which leads to load containment, and since the film will attempt to ‘shrink’ back to its pre-stretched state this tension is sustained.
